If you're new to the roguelike genre, you should read the introduction in the manual after
reading this. But if you aren't, quickly read this through so that you don't have to learn
these most frequently asked questions "the hard way". Thank you.

If you can't find the right commands by smacking the keyboard randomly, press ? in-game.
And if you are unable to use the keypad to move, check your numlock. It should be ON.

If you're wondering how to use wands, potions and food, or perhaps how to drop stuff,
open the inventory screen, select the item and press u or d (to drop).

In various inventory screens the color of the item indicates its blessed/cursed/uncursed/
unknown status. Blessed is yellow, cursed is red, uncursed is blue and unknown is gray.

Be careful with ranged monsters: They can shoot "through" other monsters. Also be careful
with monsters with a background color.

All dungeon features are used by pressing 'u' (use). Frozen corpses can be used with either
'u' or the pick up command. Also, the - and _ dungeon features are different, pay attention.

While this is enough to get started, you should later at least read the "Other useful info"
section in the manual to learn smaller (but some very important!) details of the game.

For Windows users only:
There is a shortcut in the package. Point that to the right .exe and right
working directory if your Windows' version doesn't use the pretty colors (at
least XP) or your terminal size is too small. It takes half a minute and
enhances your play experience, so please do it.

If you get an error message, which says that you don't have some data files,
but you do have them, please check your shortcut's working directory. It should
point to the folder where the data files are.

The shortcut may not work on all Windows versions, but it should support at
least the newer ones (don't know about Vista). You may have to insert the
data manually (right click on the shortcut etc.). If it doesn't work and you
don't have the prettier colors, you can change them manually by configuring
the console. That requires more time, though.

Playing in the fullscreen mode can enhance play experience too. Press ALT+ENTER
	to enter the fullscreen mode.
